The Relationship Between Teaching Resources and Teachers’ Classroom Performance in Ibanda Municipality, Uganda

Abstract

The study investigated the relationship between teaching resources and teachers’ classroom performance in Government-Aided Secondary Schools in Ibanda Municipality, Ibanda District. A sample size of 412 respondents was selected from a target population of 2,498 individuals. The study collected both qualitative and quantitative data. The results revealed a statistically significant positive correlation between teaching resources and teachers’ classroom performance (r = 0.275, p < 0.01, 2-tailed). In conclusion, the study identified a statistically significant positive correlation between the availability and quality of teaching resources and teachers’ classroom performance. It was recommended that the government increase investment in teaching resources to ensure that schools have adequate supplies to support effective classroom performance.
